Overview
Socialize Experts ("we", "us", "our") operates the website socializeexperts.com and provides Smart Tracker products, browser tools, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what data these products access, how that data is handled, and your rights.
Our product philosophy is user ownership first. For Smart Trackers, your tracker records live in Google Sheets owned by your Google account. We do not keep a separate copy of your tracker records.
Smart Trackers and Google Sheets
Smart Trackers use Google OAuth so you can create and manage tracker Sheets in your own Google account. When you connect Google, the tracker requests permission to create, read, and update Google Sheets needed for the tracker experience.
Tracker entries, sheet tabs, formulas, and related tracker data are stored in your Google Sheets. Socialize Experts does not maintain a separate database of your tracker records.
Access tokens are used to perform the actions you request, such as creating a tracker Sheet, adding a record, syncing rows, or opening an existing Sheet. Tokens are not sold, shared, or used for unrelated purposes.
Google user data use
We use Google user data only to provide and improve the Smart Tracker features you choose to use.
Limited Use
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User control
You can revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions and delete any tracker Sheet from Google Drive whenever you want.
No sale of data
We do not sell, rent, or trade Google user data or tracker records.
Chrome Extensions Privacy
The following disclosures apply to every Chrome extension published by Socialize Experts, across all categories (Productivity, Social & Communication, Shopping, and Developer Tools).
No Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data to our servers. We have no servers, databases, or analytics infrastructure.
No Data Sales
We do not sell, share, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties. There is no data to sell.
No Tracking
We do not use analytics, telemetry, cookies, pixels, or any other tracking mechanism in our extensions.
No External Servers
Our extensions have no backend servers or databases. Everything runs entirely within your browser.
Data Handling
API Keys
- Your API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (
chrome.storage.syncorchrome.storage.local). - Keys are never sent to Socialize Experts or any third party other than the AI provider you choose.
- Keys persist until you remove them from the extension settings or uninstall the extension.
Page Content & User Input
- Some extensions read content from the page you are on (e.g., a comment, listing description, review, or message) to provide context to the AI. This content is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider's API over HTTPS.
- Page content is processed temporarily in memory and is not stored by the extension after the AI response is generated.
- No page content, user input, or AI-generated output is transmitted to Socialize Experts.
User Preferences & Settings
- Extension settings (e.g., selected AI provider, tone preference, language) are stored locally in Chrome storage.
- Settings are retained until you change them, reset the extension, or uninstall it.
Permissions Explained
Our extensions request only the minimum permissions required to function. Here is what each permission does and why it's needed:
storage Required by all extensions
Used to save your API keys and extension preferences (e.g., selected AI provider, tone, language) locally in your browser. Data stored with this permission never leaves your device unless you use chrome.storage.sync, in which case Chrome may sync it across your signed-in browsers via your Google account.
activeTab Required by all extensions Grants the extension access to the currently active tab only when you interact with the extension (e.g., click its button or use a keyboard shortcut). This allows the extension to read relevant page content (such as a comment, listing, or review) and inject the AI-generated response. Access is temporary and limited to the active tab at the moment of interaction.
scripting Used by some extensions
Used to inject the extension's user interface (e.g., an AI reply button or a generation panel) into the target website's page. This permission works alongside activeTab and only runs scripts on pages you actively use the extension on.
host_permissions Used by some extensions
Some extensions declare host permissions for specific websites (e.g., *://pinterest.com/*) to inject their UI on those sites, and for AI provider API endpoints (e.g., *://api.openai.com/*) to send requests directly from your browser.
Third-Party AI Providers
Our extensions support the following AI providers. When you use an extension, the content you choose to process is sent directly from your browser to the provider you select. We are not an intermediary in this communication.
OpenAI
If you choose OpenAI as your AI provider, your data is sent directly to OpenAI's API and is subject to OpenAI's usage policies.

If you choose Anthropic (Claude) as your AI provider, your data is sent directly to Anthropic's API and is subject to Anthropic's usage policies.

If you choose OpenRouter as your AI provider, your data is sent to OpenRouter's API, which routes it to the underlying model provider. This is subject to OpenRouter's usage policies and the policies of the model provider they route to.
OpenRouter Privacy Policy →Important: We have no control over how these third-party providers handle the data you send them. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before use. By using your own API key, you establish a direct relationship with the provider under their terms of service.
Data Retention
What is retained
- • API keys and user preferences — stored locally until you remove them or uninstall the extension.
What is NOT retained
- • Page content (comments, listings, reviews, messages, etc.) — processed in memory, then discarded.
- • AI-generated responses — displayed to you, then discarded when you navigate away.
- • Browsing history, page URLs, or site activity — never accessed or stored.
Your Rights & Control
Because all data is stored locally in your browser, you have full control:
Delete your data
Remove your API key from the extension settings at any time, or uninstall the extension to remove all stored data.
Access your data
Your data is in your browser's local storage. You can view it via Chrome DevTools (Application > Storage).
Portability
Since data is local, there is nothing to export from our side. Your settings are in your browser.
Opt out
There is nothing to opt out of. We collect no data. Simply uninstall the extension if you no longer wish to use it.
Website (socializeexperts.com)
Our website is used to describe our products and services. We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party scripts that collect personal data. If you contact us via our contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Children's Privacy
Our extensions and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since our extensions collect no data at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our extensions or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
